I found out a little over a week ago when I went to get a flu shot that this location was closing down. I'm a bit disappointed about it. I thought this location was safe from the closures, as this is my go-to pharmacy. I had a much more pleasant experience with the pharmacists and customer service at this location. I only came in for annual vaccines and the occasional thrifty ice cream so my experience was limited to that. My bf and I took advantage of the closing sales and bought some extra thrifty ice cream to hold us over. The beauty section also still had the darker shade range available which worked out perfectly. From what I overheard, this location closes on the 1st of February ( don't hold me to that though). If you have any plans to scavenge the clearances (warning you -- it's slim pickings now), you only have a few days left. Here's hoping a CVS opens a new location here.

This is strictly about getting ice cream. We were walking back from dinner nearby and wanted a little dessert treat as we walked back to our hotel near Universal Studios. I saw that Rite Aid was nearby and even better it had Thrifty Ice Cream and I love a cylindrical scoop. One of my favorite flavors that I've only found at Rite Aid/Thrifty is the Chocolate Malt Crunch. It's not super chocolatey, more mild/malty in taste and has chocolate shavings as well as these crunchy malt mini balls which are a lovely textural addition. It wasn't busy when we dropped by. Only one or two folks were working and we easily grabbed someone's attention as we stood at the front of the ice cream counter. We got out scoop and then went over to the check out counter in the front to pay. I forgot my phone chargers at home so had I known this place existed and was relatively nearby, I could've bought a spare one here which probably would've cost a fraction of what we paid at the hotel to buy it, but oh well! They do have a variety of items if you're ever visiting nearby and need to pick up any amenities.

I've always have a great experience at this pharmacy. It's never crowded and looks clean. The employees are nice and even one time with a crazy man making threats at the pharmacist still kept their cool and security escorted him out. I just easily refill my prescription with the nice pharmacist and figure they were owed a good review!

This is a chain drugstore run by a for-profit corporation. It's exactly what you expect from a company who values profits over people. They do what they do efficiently and economically and for that I am grateful. I always know what to expect when I go in and that's exactly what I receive. This isn't a neighborhood pharmacy where everyone knows everyone and you can get a dose of that warm and fuzzy feeling. Those kinds of pharmacies exist, if that's what you're looking for. Rite Aid will get you in and get you out so you can get on to other things.
